Human Papilloma Virus And Cervical Cancer

The link between human papilloma virus and cervical cancer are about 90% in all ascus pap results of the cervix, thus human papillomavirus is the main cause of dysplasia and cancer. It usually takes many years for serious disease of the cervix to develop. Without treatment severely dysplastic cells penetrate deeper layers of the cervix and spread to other organs, causing invasive form of the disease. The condition is unlikely to progress in women who don’t smoke or have other risk factors.
