Digene HPV
A digene hpv analysis may be performed in addition to a Pap smear if lesions such as verruca or a genital wart is suspect.
This is a type of testing done when a pap smear comes back with an ASCUS results. This test will determine what type of the human papilloma virus is present, a low-risk type or high-risk cancer causing type. The low-risk type generally disappears on it’s own without treatment.
