Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis is caused by Human Papilloma Virus and also causes the flat wart and vaginitis.
RRP is a benign lesion of the larynx and trachea, caused by the same papilloma virus that tends to cause genital warts. This condition is most commonly observed in children, though it can also occur in adults. Warty growths in the upper airway may be the cause of significant airway obstruction or voice change.
