HPV Mouth

HPV Mouth

HPV mouth can be a result of penile wart, cervical wart or oral warts of the partner. Lesions may appear as solitary or groups of lesions. The most common oral locations for the CA are the tongue, inner lips, floor of the mouth and gums. FEH (focal epithelial hyperplasia ) is specifically associated with HPV types 13 and 32, which only been found in the oral cavity. HPV mouth can be a result of penile wart, cervical wart or oral warts of the partner.

This virus targets epithelial cells, found in both the vagina and oral cavity. Now these two strains of the virus are also being linked to oral cancer. A recent study showed the most dangerous Human Papilloma Virus types 16 and 18, transmitted through sexual contact are known to cause cervical cancer. HPV mouth can be a result of penile wart, cervical wart or oral warts of the partner.
