HPV 18

A type of hpv 18 causes genital disorders; the typical symptoms are abnormal vaginal discharge, cervical pain and itching. The only way to determine if dysplasia is present is by swabbing the cervix to get a sample of cells to be tested for abnormalities or by a biopsy. There are about thirty types of this virus that is sexually transmitted of which could lead to dysplasia or cancer.
