Vaginal herpes doesn't have serious health implications other than blisters, but Human papilloma virus can lead to ASCUS. This is one of the STD (sexually transmitted diseases) that stems from a corresponding virus called HSV-2. It is acquired during a sexual intercourse with an affected partner during the outbreak. Sometimes, an infected person has visible lesions on the genitals, anus area, and buttocks. However, the infection can also be asymptomatic. The infection is considered chronic with occasional fits a few times a year. During the outbreak, the virus is active. At other times, it is dormant and cannot be cured. To lessen unpleasant sensations during the outbreaks, antiviral medication is used. It is also recommended to abstain from sex during the virus attacks.
