A risk factor of genital herpes, dating someone who has had risky sexual behavior may also have lichen sclerosus or a vaginal wart. When considering someone for intimacy prudence is to remember HSV is usually acquired through risky sexual behavior. Engaging in unprotected sex (no condoms), involving in multiple sex partners or with someone who does, or who fits high-risk profiles for age, demographics, drug history, or who is infected is not advisable.
