Venereal Warts

Venereal warts (genital) are directly linked to HPV exposure and infectious abnormal tissue generation may be detected on a Pap smear if routine. Genital growths impact women more frequently than men. The female-to male ratio has been reported to be 1.4:1. The highest incidence of GW is found in young adults 15-25 years. Growths do not become visible until several months after exposure with HPV. Papillomatous papules or nodules appearing pink-to brown on the genitalia, perineum, crural folds, and anus can appear. Mass size varies and may transgress into the vagina, urethra, cervix, perirectal epithelium, anus, and rectum.
