Treatment For Warts

Common treatment for warts is cryotherapy or cryosurgery, which is a freezing of the afflicted cells. The aim of the treatment is to destroy the warty growth rather than to eliminate the virus. Subclinical infection may be lifelong and asymptomous, and there is no remedy. Such people should always use condoms not to transmit the virus to his/her partners. Standard therapies for these growths remove most or the problem. They are: caustic/acids, podophylin resin, imiquimod cream (Aldara), interferon, podophylox, HPV vaccines (not yet available). Cryosurgery is the alternative method, effective for treating multiple, small disorders on the genitalia, but it’s not effective on the rectum area.
