Over the counter medications to remove wart viruses do not work for a vaginal wart or a penile wart. Condylomas may be taken off using chemicals that freeze or dissolve it, topical agents that strip or “peel” affected area, injections that blister and slough, or surgical—burning or excision--procedures. Some agents may stimulate allergic reactions to get rid of them while others support T-cell antiviral rejection. For common and flat papillomas appearing on hand or face, non-prescription medications are available.
