Genital Wart Removal

A genital wart removal on the cervix may be done with a cone biopsy and colposcopy. There is no cure for the viral infection causing genital condyloma. However treatment is important to reduce HPV abnormal cellular advancement. Under a physician’s care Podophyllin, Podophyllotoxin solution, Imiquimod, Interferon, 5-flouracil/epinephnrine-gel, 5-flouracil cream, curettage and scissor or scalpel excisions, LEEP, T cell enhancers and organic antiviral products may be used. A genital wart removal on the cervix may be done with a cone biopsy and colposcopy.

Ongoing medical management is advised since high-risk for cancer HPV strain is linked. A physician can monitor reoccurrences, administer regular pap smears, provide biopsies of suspicious areas, and perform HPV DNA testing.
