Verruca plana is generated from a different type of human papillomavirus than those linked to cervical cancer.
These are warts, which are usually found on the soles of the foot, and around the toes. Children and young adults are more frequently affected. A Papilloma virus causes the condition. The virus thrives in damp conditions, such as swimming pools, showers and bathrooms.
