Combined genital wart herpes infections can result in cryotherapy to treat sysmptoms such as HPV cervical dysplasia. HSV is not to be confused with HPV (human Papilloma Virus). Both are very common sexually transmitted diseases. The first condition (HSV) infects the root of the nerve cell at the spinal cord. There is no cure for the infection, but outbreaks and symptoms can be controlled with medication. HPVs (Human Papilloma Virus) are usually sexually transmitted and highly contagious. They can be found in and around the vagina, anus, penis, groin, and scrotal areas. Certain strains of HPV have been associated with cancer of the cervix so pap tests are strongly recommended every 6 months.
