Plantar Warts

Plantar warts are found on the feet and are not diagnosed with a cone biopsy or colposcopy. These benign tumors are found on the sole of the foot and can be extremely painful. They are rough, bumpy and spongy in nature, although some can be thick and scaly. Most are brown or gray in color with a center that has dark pinpoints. These growths are caused by HPV, which is found in the skin. This strain of the virus can be attained through contact with floors in locker rooms, showers, and swimming pools and is contracted through tiny cuts or breaks in the skin.
