Salicylic acids applied as plantar wart treatment differs from that used on a facial wart or other HPV related conditions. There are various topical acids available as a chemical treatment. Commonly, salicylic acids of different strengths are applied directly to the affected area daily. Among other treatments are 5% Fourourcil, Bleomycin , and Dinitrochlorobenzene (used for multiple or ‘mosaic’ growths).
