The infection is spread by direct contact with another person’s skin. It is usually contracted by sexual contact and symptoms may appear within three weeks to twelve months. The subclinical types are also spread this way (HPV types with no symptoms) The early genital stage wart virus could include a vaginal wart or a penile wart.
