A cone biopsy of cervix tissue will diagnose if the cervix has HPV or a verruca virus present.
Cervical conization is a surgical procedure to find and treat problems in the women's genitalia. It is done if a Pap smear test and a colposcopy exam show abnormal cells in the vagina. During the procedure the abnormal tissue is removed and examined.
