A colposcopy during pregnancy is absolutely safe; abnormal vaginal discharge can be a symptom of condyloma and other disorders, but often these diseses are asymptomatic.
But unless the symptoms appear worse, biopsies should only be taken at the initial exam, to keep the risk of harming the cervix or infection to a minimum. Since surgical treatments cannot be done while pregnant, follow up exams should be performed.

It is safe to do while pregnant, but if biopsies are taken they should be kept at a minimum and using precise care. If a pregnant woman gets an abnormal Pap reading at a routine exam, it is still recommended that a second exam, with a colposcope be performed.
