This stage of the disease is rather dangerous and means that about the half of the cells forming the inner lining of the cervix are abnormal. Regular Pap smear is the only way to detect this disorder. Treatment should be immediate to avoid developing of cancer.

There exist several methods for treating this condition, and the choice depends on the stage, patient’s preferences and desire to have children in the future. The most common methods are cone biopsy, LEEP, cryosurgery, laser therapy. Very serious cases need a hysterectomy.
