Colposcopy Exam
A colposcopy exam will often diagnose the Vaginal wart virus and cervical cancer.
This procedure is performed after a Pap smear tests have shown abnormalities in the cervix. They may be cervical dysplasia, HPV, various infections and other problems, which is easy to treat at low stages, but may lead to cancer if left untreated for a long time.

The abnormal areas are seen as white through a colposcope and no light passes through them. A sample from an abnormal area can be taken and sent for further evaluation. This procedure is often accompanied by cryosurgery to treat the abnormal area.
