Cell Dysplasia
Cervical cell dysplasia can sometimes cause vaginal discharge and pain of the cervix.
If a Pap test has shown this condition, it means that abnormal areas present in the cervix. The changes are not cancerous, but may progress into malignant if left untreated. This condition is also called CIN (short for Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia).

The diseas has several stages: CIN 1 (low grade abnormality), CIN 2 (high grade abnormality) or CIN 3 (carcinoma in situ). Mild stages may disappear by themselves and the most severe the abnormality the less likely it is to go away.
