Colpo
The term, colpo, is short for colposcopy, will determine if a cone biopsy is necessary when the human papillomavirus is found.
This examination is usually performed after several abnormal Pap smear tests to determine the nature of the problem. To perform such examination the cervix is cleaned with a vinegar solution, which makes the abnormal areas white when seen through a colposcope.
