Leep Excision
When a leep excision is performed, cervical dysplasia and venereal wart symptoms are usually present.
This procedure treats cervical dysplasia of moderate and severe forms. It is performed in a physician’s office with a thin wire loop carrying an electrical current and takes about a half an hour. The loop removes the abnormal tissues from the surface of the cervix.

Mild complications including pain, discomfort, discharge or bleeding may occur for several days after the procedure. The patient should not have sexual intercourse, use tampons, take tub baths, douche and lift heavy objects as long as the doctor recommends.
