The Cervix
Infections of the cervix leading to cervical cancer is directly associated to HPV infection.
This is the cone shaped part of the uterus that protrudes into the vagina. It’s about one inch long, and is penetrated by the canal (os), which permits the menstrual period to pass from the uterus into the vagina, and sperm to pass into the uterus. This organ is very important in childbearing; even minor disorders can be dangerous for future pregnancies.
