Open Cervix
An open cervix may be needed to perform a LEEP procedure to get at all effected tissue, but is not related to lichen sclerosus.
Multiple D&Cs or LEEP may cause such condition. The problem may arise only if the opening is pinpoint (stenotic), which impedes the menstrual flow and leads to increased cramping and a higher chance of endometrosis. Usually it doesn't matter if what shape and size the opening is.

Open Cervix -
LEEP Procedure, Lichen Sclerosus
After she gives birth or after the dilation for some procedures the opening may be larger and oval in shape. Most women (but not all) who have never had a child or any operations have a small round cervical opening.
An open cervix may be needed to perform a LEEP procedure to get at all effected tissue, but is not related to lichen sclerosus.
