Inflammation of cervix tissue is common in the presence of a genital wart, but most common with cervical dysplasia.
They can easily be detected by Pap smear. Increased risk is associated with intercourse at an early age, multiple sexual partners, and a history of sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, chlamidia, genital herpes, and genital warts). It affects more than half of all women.
