Cervical Cytology
Cervical cytology predetermines the need for LEEP procedure, cryotherapy, or other treatment procedures.
Procedure for detecting various abnormalities in the vagina (ASCUS, AGUS, LSIL, LGSIL, mild dysplasia, CIN grade I and many others). Errors of diagnoses occur in 1/2-9% of the cases. This procedure may instigates colposcopy, diagnostic conization, or both.

These studies have a high sensitivity for CIN but a low specificity for determining its grade. The results tend to an underestimate the severity of CIN. It can be changed to histologic diagnostic. The see-and –treat approach is based on the results of the research.
