Smear Test
Regular Pap smear test helps to prevent lichen sclerosis and other severe HPV-related disorders.
A sample of cells is taken from the surface of the cervix, which is sent for further analysis. The patient is lying on the back with the legs bent up and apart and the doctor inserts a plastic instrument (speculum) into the vagina and examines the vaginal canal and cervix.
