Loop Test
After a loop test performed on lichen sclerosis, vaginal discharge and light bleeding are possibel for some days.
Usually this procedure is done for minor abnormalities, such as CIN 1 and 2, ASCUS, but not for severe conditions. It is often performed during the initial colposcopy, if the affected area is rather small and can be treated in a time.

During this operation a thin wire with electrical energy flowing through it is used to remove the abnormal cells. LEEP procedure is used to remove abnormal cervical tissues after a Pap smear has shown abnormalities on the surface of the cervix.
