Coloposcopy
A coloposcopy exam helps to prevent infertility, cervical cancer and other disorders by curing minor abnormalities.
It may be cervical dysplasia, infections of various types, ASCUS, AGUS and other problems that may lead to cervical cancer if left untreated. This procedure is usually performed after several Pap smear tests have shown abnormal changes in the cervix.

Coloposcopy -
Infertility, Cervical Cancer
If there are abnormal cells on the cervix, the doctor will order a biopsy. The exam is not painful, has no side effects and can be done even if the patient is pregnant. In this test the cervix is examined through an electronic microscope called a colposcope.
